The Detroit Housing Commission’s Real Estate Development Department (REDD) is focused on creating high-quality, safe, and vibrant communities for Detroit residents.

The REDD team plans and delivers housing improvements across DHC’s portfolio, from renovating existing homes to building new communities, and coordinates the work needed to bring each project to life.

REDD is leading a long-term effort to improve and transform DHC’s housing through thoughtful rehabilitation, new construction, and neighborhood investment. Our goal is to ensure that residents have access to modern, well-maintained homes while preserving affordability and strengthening the communities we serve.
