Choice Neighborhoods Plan
The City of Detroit, in partnership with the Detroit Housing Commission, received a HUD Choice Neighborhoods Planning Grant for the Greater Forest Park/Eastern Market neighborhood, making Detroit one of 13 communities nationwide awarded the grant in 2024. Through this grant, the City and DHC will collaborate with residents and community stakeholders to develop a forward-looking, inclusive Choice Neighborhoods Plan. The Plan will focus on the redevelopment of Forest Park Apartments and Diggs Homes, along with broader investments in the surrounding neighborhood.
